Kinetica provides a commercial
testing service for temperature programmed, isothermal, and solution
calorimetry using a Setaram C80 calorimeter. The calorimeter is operable from
ambient to 300 °C. Applications include process development, quality assurance,
and process safety.
The C80 calorimeter accommodates
a variety of tests including those requiring high pressure, circulation, and
membrane mixing cell capability. The tabular insert documents available cells
for particular testing applications.

The
membrane mixing
cell is well suited for evaluating compatibility and heat effects for two
component systems. Heats of mixing and dissolution are monitored by placing a
solid in the lower container, a liquid is placed in the upper chamber above the
membrane. When the membrane is broken the total heat composed of the heat of
mixing, heat of solution, and heat of reaction are measured with the
